5.12.09 Suited deadlift
135x10 225x5 315x3 405x1 add fusion 505x1 straps up 605x1 easy opener 650x1 really hit is well should be there on meet day
speed pulls raw 315x3x3
wide grip pull ups 3x8
under grip lat pulls 12 10 8
leg ext 3x12
rope pull through 3x12
abs
picked a new way to wear the fusion today reading online, pulled the legs way up so the quad could expand better and easier to get down, felt good to finish on a good note.

Nice pullin Matt.
Where you staying? Wife and I are at the Embassy Suites right down the street from the meet site. I had enough points to stay for free due to all the travel I do with work. I think Carter and his wife are at the meet hotel. I am ready to go man...

Staying with the Wife's Aunt and Uncle in Franklin maybe 20-30 min southwest of Nashville. They have two master suits in there home, and we are pretty close to them. So any meet in Nashville I am in! We should try and hook up after weight ins saturday morning.

5.17.09 Squats

two arm kbell swings 3x15
hammers 4x10

briefs fit really tight today, which is good, felt good and strong weights moved fast and felt light on my back. Had the wife watch depth and all but one made it down.

5.20.09 Meet wrap up
squat 3 sets 5 225#
Bench 3 sets of 5 225#
Deads 3 sets of 5 225#
neutral grip lats 1x10
fat v bar tris 1x12

all the weights real light and fast, as 225 should, felt a little under the weather and tired today but much better after training. was good to get some blood flow.

5.24.08 SPF nationals
Had real good meet, weighted in at 240 even so weight was not an issue.
In the squat warm ups went ok, the last at 715 was a little unstable but no big deal
Opener 810 good
2nd 850 good 25# PR
3rd 870 good 45# PR
Bench
Opener 585 good
2nd 605 5# PR
3rd 625 no good got a little to much shirt
Deads
Opener 605 good
2nd 635 good PR for full meet and pulling conventional, also gave me my first 2100# TOTAL
3rd 650 good 25# PR
Ended up 8 for 9 at 2125# total, only miss was my own damn fault for getting the shirt to low for the weight on the bar. Feel like I left around 65 on the platform. So 2200 is just around the corner. Meet prep really worked well and I would recommend Jon Groves programs to everyone. Was a really fun meet with some great lifting.

will see, may or may not, just did not want to cut weight for this one. I will for a while I can taste a 900# squat. maybe I can get some bench advise form you and have a big bench too.
